Ancestor:Descendants:

The nogicorn split from its ancestor and adapted to harsher environments. They have grown a horn on their snout that allows for them to dig easier in the frozen or rocky soil. They dig for roots of black or purple flora, chewing away at the structures so they're easier to tear them out of the ground. They are clever, and eat only enough to sustain themselves so they have food. If times are tough, they will transplant roots to leaner areas so they will take hold. They are an important staple to the environments where they live.
