Ancestor:Descendants:

The neckeye split from its ancestor to inhabit the nearby rainy Wright Rainforest. It has evolved many different adaptations to its new biome, while the most noticeable is of course it colossal height it evolved to graze on the leaves of the tall rainforest trees. It also evolved much stronger legs to make its way in the forest and a thicker tail used for balancing its long body. They have much thicker necks. Also another easily visible adaptation is its eye arrangement. Its front eyes have become taller and have a bonier socket, the back eye's sail has become shaped much like a leaf of a mega orbitree and the two lower side eyes dramatically changed as well. Now that they live in the dense forest the lower side eyes can each move in 90 degrees and help them navigate their way better. They also evolved tiny crests on their eyes and a longer crest on their necks that are their main color-changing organs that are used for a much more evolved complex language that consist of about 50 words from the basics like "danger, food, and lets mate" to "fear, day and night, relationship, and wounded". Since they are deaf they completely rely on sight for both communication between each other in the herd but to be aware of their . Their communication colors slightly glow allowing them better communication at night and in the rather dark forest. Like their ancestors they still change the color of their skin for camouflage as well. They also still use their beaks to tear down leafs and tall branches and their back grinding teeth to feed on them.

The neckeyes are monogamous and mate for life. They will build huge dirt and branches mounds for their nests. These nests are built near other mating pairs. They lay 3 to 4 eggs each year and will raise their young together. They take turns sitting on the nest as well as feeding the chicks pre-chewed leafs when they hatch. After a year the chicks join the herd as they migrate throughout the forest leaving leafless stout lamp-palms and mega orbitrees without low leaves. They reach sexual maturity after about 6 years and live and average of 28 years.
