The mudworm is another evolution of the giant murkworm. It acquired a flattened body, and its two first pairs of paddles had evolved into primitive legs, which are used to move in the mud. It modified its color to facilitate the camouflage and, with serpent-like movements, it covers itself in the bottom and watches the creatures who pass over it. Its microlungs had evolved a little, but it still needs go up to the surface to catch air.
