Ancestor:Descendants:

The microswarmers genus group split from its ancestor, the mini swarmer and integrated the degenerate miniswarmer, frozen swarmer, hairy miniswarmer. This genus group are different from miniswarmers in that they are much smaller and only survive on photosynthesis. While they do not filter-feed they do consume nutrients needed for photosynthesis. They absorb red sunlight with their green chloroplasts.

Since relying on only photosynthesis give very little energy they spend most of their time drifting motionless. When they do move its only to mate and is done extremely slowly. Since they cannot run from predators they spawn many offspring and stay in large clouds near the surface of the water. They can live both in freshwater and saltwater. They are highly adaptable and survive in all temperatures of water from hot tropical swamps to cold glacial rivers. They are an important part of the Sagan 4 biosphere and are a truly global genus group.
