The marine shrubite split from the deep shrubite. It now lives in the coasts. Due to less pressure it was able to grow to almost twice its ancestors size. Its has developed a more efficient way to filter-feed. Four siphons around its base suck in water while the rest squirts out the top. It not only pulls in food but oxygen to breathe. And it not only squirts out waste but spores from the top. Its strong calcium shell protects its from most predators.
