Living in warm waters, this microorganism developed seven long pseudopods rich in chloroplasts that remain outside the water to absorb the light on equatorial region of Sagan 4. It orients via phototaxis, and most of the time it remains on the surface of freshwater bodies, liberating oxygen bubbles through the central region between its pseudopods. When the water is covered in shade, it uses its flagella to quickly swim in a helix towards an illuminated place.
