The loogi split from its ancestor, the hammertoe. It has become a herbivore and eats the crystal flora in Huggs-Yokto Scrub and Huggs-Yokto Savanna. It has grown taller and thinner so it can run from predators. However its main adaption is its acidic snot. It not only uses it as a defense from predators but uses it to melt the hard crystal shells of the crystal flora. Once a hole is made it can tear and rip at the crystal to eat off chunks of it. It sometimes even uses its small club-like back legs to bash the crystal flora to create cracks in it.
Its tympanic crests have also gotten bigger so that it can listen for predators better. Males' tympanic crests are colored red-orange to help attract mates. Those with the larger, brighter crests are chosen. Like their ancestors, they lay their eggs on the outside of their shells. Each egg is sticky and will stay stuck there until it hatches. When it hatches the eggs fall off and the babies gain the herd. They are social creatures who stay in herds of 5 to 10. They will even work together in breaking open a crystal flora. They no longer build burrows and are nomadic.
