The lobed solarworm has replaced its ancestor the solarworm. Like its ancestor it walks around the forest eating dead, decaying matter. But unlike its ancestor its "wing-leaves" now can produce sugars though primitive photosynthesis and not just heat energy. This latent feature hearkens back to the days when its ancestor was photosynthetic fungi that eventually split into crystal flora. It has also grown bigger due to the new energy source. flying darts are not much of a threat now and can be easily batted away with the "wing-leaves".
