The leafy palmshrub split from tis ancestor the marshrub, and has finally returned to land. It grows in both the temperate forest and rainforest. Those that live in the temperate forest will lose their leaves in the winter while those in the rainforest do not. They are larger than their ancestor and grow many more leaves to gather a lot of sunlight.
Like their ancestor, they have seed filled "trunks" that detach. These are frequently eaten by fauna as an easy to reach snack. Those that survive the digestion process grow into new shrubs. Their leaves have improved and they now have more advanced vascular system.
