The lazarus plyent split from its ancestor, the rooted swarmer. Due to convergent evolution an immobile plent-like species has evolved again on Sagan 4. This time from the ichthyophyta class. They live much like the fan plent of old except they are much bigger. They can leave the water and photosynthesize on the river banks however they must go back into the water to drink and spawn. They move about as fast as a starfish since they no longer filter-feed as adults. However like the fan plent their offspring are mobile and swim in the water. They filter-feed until they reach adulthood. Then they look less like swarmers and more like immobile plents. The offspring can see as well as any swarmer but their eyesight gets worse as they age and their dorsal fin eventually falls off.
