Bora is the general term for any microflora that have adapted to live on the fuzzbora. Representative genuses are the Pioneeroots, Twinkorals, and Larands. While they prefer to live off the massive flora, they can also be found on the ground, which is primarily how they spread.
Larand-type boras also look slightly different from their ancestor. They live on the outside of the trunk, using clingy roots to grip the bark. They have springy stems that can take being handled. They have multiple buds to each stalk to increase energy collection. Individuals live for about three-quarters of a year. At the end of their lives, they produce spores that can survive for a month or so before they have to germinate or die.
