The krystal snoutsuckling evolved from the koral beakworm, and even though it looks quite different, it still has close genetic similarities to its ancestor. They changed their diet however, switching to ur-corkskrew crystals and prong crystals. Due to the hammer on the lower side of the snout it can easily open up the crystal plants and easily suck out the juices with its snout.
When mating time arrives, which is about once every three months, the snoutsucklings gather and "dance" with their fins around the ur-corkscrew crystals as well as the prong crystals. During this dance the females release their eggs, whereas the males release their sperm. Those eggs that are fertilized settle beneath the crystal plants and start to develop. Those that aren't fertilized and the percentage of eggs that are washed away by the currents are left to die and are usually eaten by the sea dwelling creatures around.
