The King foi has split from its ancestor. It lives the same way as the ancestrial foi, except that now it dosen't have to fold to secrete acids; microbes are digested as soon as they touch the belly. In order not to be seen by predators, it has gained a purple pigment. It retains the three simple eyes from its ancestor.
