Ancestor:Descendants:

The kangashrew split off from the stalking shrew. Unlike its ancestor, the kangashrew is strictly vegetarian. They have also developed longer ears and a thinner fur coat, these adaptations help them stay cool. Now they completely stand on two legs, in order to do this, their back feet have become much larger. Some other important adaptations include that they hop instead of run, this helps them easily get away from predators without wasting too much energy.

The kangashrew has also become crepuscular. This means they awaken during the sunset and fall asleep when the sun has risen. Since the axe-slicer has evolved, the kangashrew has become much more aggressive. In fact they use their front paws to swipe at the enemy or it will whack with its large tail, but if none of those don't work, it will use a bone-breaking kick with its back legs. They only do this when they have no other choice, otherwise they hop away from the predator or jump into the water until the predator gives up.

The kangashrew usually gives birth to 2 babies, though sometimes they give birth to three. Since it gives birth to more than one baby, the kangashrew's pouch has evolved into a split-pouch, which can carry two babies. Just like its ancestor, the kangashrew has sexual dimorphism.
