The jumping stalker replaced its ancestor, the cave stalker. Due to the abundance of predators in Rabid Sandstone Caves it specialized in drinking only the blood plents. They are now solitary ambush predators and will sit motionless on the cave walls waiting for a plent to walk by. It now has larger ears to listen for prey and 6 large eyes to see in the dim light. When prey passes by it will leap on to the backs so they are hard to reach. They hang on using not only they claws on their feet but the hooks on their front limbs. They quickly bite using their needle-like fangs and razor sharp teeth. Like their ancestors their saliva has both a numbing agent and an anti-coagulant. This means the blood will freely flow without its prey knowing their bleeding.
Females only mate when there is an abundance of food. The females release a strong scent from their reproductive organs when ready to mate. The male uses its sensitive nostrils to seek out the female. If more than one male find the female then the males will fight each other by making loud hisses and growls. If no one backs down then they will bite each other until one dies. This can be fatal due to their anti-coagulant in their bite. However since its made for plent blood it is not as effect in their carpozoian blood. After mating the female will raise her the 1 to 2 offspring off the milk in her pouch. Once they get their teeth they must go out on their own and drink blood from prey.
