The Jim pufftree replaced the snow puff on Jim Tundra Island. Due to island gigantism, they have grown to be 1 meter tall. Using a form of antifreeze adapted from their ancestors, it can stay in bloom even in the winter, but it thrives in the summer when the ice melts. It needs very little nutrients and can even stay dormant in ice and snow until it thaws. Its puffy spores are what made it so successful. In its dormant state, it is only a lump of roots. If these break apart, it can grow back when there is enough light. They have doubled the number of leaves they produce in order to capture more light.
