Ancestor:Descendants:

The ferrumligamen's adaption was a success. After a while, multiple ferrumligamen's linked together in a horizontal fashion, letting them be thicker. When four ferrumligamen get chained together, they form ironweed, a seaweedish form. But, at the advantage of getting more food, they become immobile, feeding on the metals extracted by the lodging cells. Because more iron is eaten, they became lighter, being able to float with the ocean currents. While doing this, small rock fragments with iron that float with the currents, get stuck against the plants and get absorbed, until drained of all it's iron, so that the ironweed's magnetic force has no more influence on it.

Ferrumalgae reproduce the same way as their ancestors, and their new design replaces their ancestor in those regions.
