The ichthy carboneater split from its ancestor and moved into Ichthy Salt Lake. Just like their ancestor, they eat carbon, absorbing it straight from the water, in the form of carbon compounds, and use it in the synthesis of complex molecules. They are now immobile, forming films in the soil, but can be found floating in plumes. They have evolved special enzymes to oxidize the bonds in the organic compounds.
