Ancestor:Descendants:

The hsabburu split from its ancestor and adapted to have a freer life style. Even being safe into its shell, spoisoreth is unable to move around when in older age, for acquiring sessile habits. The shell on hsabburu is simpler and with no spikes around, allowing it to move around easily, while it also protects the body.

The creature is almost the double size of its ancestor and, like it, has a very elastic body. When starved it is able to stay entirely into the shell, being totally protected. After eating a large prey, the mouth will dilate a lot in order to swallow it entire, what makes it unable to protect into the shell for days to weeks, until the food be totally assimilated. Harder parts are not totally digested; part of the minerals contained on them is used to strengthen the shell and fangs, while the undigested parts will be tossed out.

A considerable change happened on the mouth; it is larger and the heat sensors are more evolved and placed more distant from the mouth and from the canals used to evacuate feeding residues. These canals moved to the mouth tentacles and now help it to hunt, no more prejudicing the sight. The tentacles are longer and can elongate even more when hunting, like the entire body does. Each tentacle has a retractile fang, which only will pierce the prey and inject venom when catching it.

The differential on this species is the hunting tactic. Instead of simply catch what passes over it, the hsabburu will create a bubble filled with detritus in order to attract detritivores and filters, but also can attract some other species. Some glands, evolved into the mouth, produce an elastic biopolymer with sticky properties, similar to a gelatin. When preparing to hunt, the creature will put the tentacles into the mouth in order to be covered by the substance. Soon after, it will move the tentacles upward, near the mouth, and blow gas bubbles into it, inflating a sticky bubble; the many hairs placed in the side of the tentacles help it to create the bubble more easily and hold it in the place. It will close the mouth and defecate into the bubble, which also holds a small amount of paralyzing toxin; a minor part of bubble content will escape through its thin porous wall, luring other creatures to it. These creatures can also be attracted by the food tossed out and usually found near the hsabburus.

When touching the bubble by unwariness or trying to catch the inner content, the prey will make the bubble trap to blow up and, in this way, will be stunned by the bubble content. If very large, the stunning effect will be weaker and the hsabburu must be fast in order to eat it. It will grab the prey with the tentacles, pierce it and inject the venom. After that, it will move the mouth upward and swallow it entire, even if the prey is slightly larger than it.

The skin is almost colorless and seems to be bluish due to the blood perceived under the skin. Due to this feature is possible to see what it ate recently, once the prey is large and takes some time to be digested. Even living in the coast, it prefers to live in deep areas where almost no sunlight reaches the sea floor, making the apparent bluish coloring help on the disguise.

These creatures evolved in the east side of LadyM Ocean and moved to the nearer coasts. If it finds a suitable place when searching for food, it will dig a burrow and hide inside it. Sometimes it can leave the place when searching for more food; then it will crawl helped by the tentacles and digging paddles until a new place. After some time, this species was able to spread to the whole coast of Glicker, being no more found in the deeps of LadyM Ocean.
