The hookhead urphish split from the urphish. Urphish along the Clayren Coast with longer bodies found themselves able to fare better in the foliage-infested waters of Ittiz Swamp. The prey there were numerous, since previously there were no other predators. Another adaptation for the swamp-dwelling urphish was a curved horn, so that they could flip the rust bubblehorns over and inject acid into their soft underside. The tentacles on the face also became elongated and more sensitive, to help the urphish navigate through muddy waters.
