The hookahworm split from its ancestor, the shroomworm. Its eats only the spores of the hookahshroom. These spore are poisonous but it has developed an immunity to them and in turn have become poisonous because of them. They have bright colors not only to bend in with the hookahshroom but ward off predators. Its tails and tongue have become prehensile form climbing now that they lost their wings. Their wings have become chitinous nubs. When eating they lick the airborne spores out of the air and also spread other spores that have stuck to them. This makes them semi-symbiotic since they do help it reproduce but also are eating spores. It lays its sticky eggs trunk of the hookahshroom.
