The herbivorous cloudswarmer split from its ancestor, and hasn't really changed much. They now feed on the abundance of floating plants instead of microbes. Their wingspans have grown to allow for more photosynthesis. They still use the clouds as carriers of reproductive material, having the rain carry it down onto other herbivorous cloudswarmers.
