Ancestor:Descendants:

The grand whorl replaced its ancestor, the coastal whorl in the BigL Coast and then spread across the rest of the eastern coastline of Wright. There it had an abundance of microbes to eat and thus grew to double in size. It is more or less the same as its ancestor except its now has 4 exit tubes for ts breathing. It breathes in through its front breathing hole and then out each tube on its 4 arms. Like its ancestor it has a very strong tail which causes it to swim in a spinning corkscrew motion. In doing so it collects food i its 8 feathery nets which collect food for it.

When in good health it will lay small spores into the water from their "exhaling tubes". These will sink to the sand and grow into spiky pods. These pods will grow into a polyp-like creature which filter-feed there until it grows a tail. Once the tail has grown it will start its mobile life swimming in the coastal waters. They still retain these spikes as adults on the front of their bodies.
