The ghost miniswarmer split from it's ancestor and moved down into the twilight zone, as there is not much light, they became primarily filter-feeders, only using photosynthesis when it was necessary. Their flippers grew elongated, but thinner, and they developed luciferin bubbles around their eye so they would be able to see.
