Ancestor:Descendants:

The ghastrat split from its ancestor, the geistrat while remaining in the Huggs Rocky as well as moving to the Badger Limestone Caves for shelter thanks to the extinction of the graveyard trees. The ghastrat has also moved to the Huggs Taiga due to the lack of predators and competition. A very useful adaptation is it's social behavior for it now hunts in packs of ten - twelve adults and two - five young, this is useful when hunting the much larger taigapin and it's relative the fishing grasper. The ghastrats of the taiga still dig burrows as their ancestors did on the Krakow Plains. While it doubled in size, the ghastrat also developed some adaptations better suited to its new lifestyle. For example, the fifth toe is fully internalized while the fourth toe has been reduced to a small dewclaw. The ghastrat also eats the eggs of one of their former predators, the cloud skysnapper.
