The gem orb works very much like its ancestor, the budding gem. It has now completely lost its stickiness since it does not need it anymore. To be able to out compete the other flora the gem orb now grow a lot more spores which they "shoot" away to spread like their ancestor did. The "trunk" of the gem orb has also grown thicker so that it has a bigger surface to photosynthesize with and get enough energy to produce the spores. This is also the reason the gem orb has grown smaller, to save energy for the spores. The reproduction system of the gem orb has made it very common and fills the niche of grass in the biomes it is found in, it has also spread to Ittiz Rocky. It replaced its ancestor.
