The fuzzy gusherwurm split from its ancestor, the verdant gusherwurm. It moved to the cold boreal region where the only plent it could feed on was the Snoa. It is completely dependent on them for now. When the fuzzy gusherwurm feeds on a snoa it will inject a mild sedative via it's mouth. It will do this in an attempt to impair the creature allowing it more time to feed. They a similar larval stage that will feed on only Iron until it's jaws and mouth are developed enough to penetrate the skin of it's prey. Thus they only bud off from their parents in the warmer summers when the snow exposes the iron rich soil. They have also adapted tiny spiny hairs all over their bodies these not only help them keep insulated from the cold but give a prickle to a snoa who tries to rub them off.
