Ancestor:Descendants:

The fruityprong split from its ancestor, its fatty lump feathers have become bushy and are held up high on tall stalks. Its protective layers point outward to defend against herbivores. Its spores are now encased in a juicy fruit on zig zagging stalks for herbivores to eat. The stalks break at the point where they are angled so that the flora can reabsorb the tissue instead of letting an herbivore have it all.
