The fruity bluelily split from its ancestor. When some of the fruity bluegrove buds drifted to the Darkov Temperate Coast, they had to adapt quite quickly. They did this by becoming much bigger, and now their roots are able to filter out microbes, which are soon digested. The fruity bluelily no longer anchors to any ground. True to its name, the fruity bluelily's air chamber has evolved into a larger, lily-like surface that surrounds the cap and allows it to float across the ocean. In order to deal with the excess salt in the water, it has evolved a special way to release the salt. It does this through a cycle that begins with the roots absorbing water, next it releases the excess salt out of its "lily" and it spreads back into the water. It reproduces the same way its ancestor does. Due to its success, it has spread out into the Soma Tropical Sea. In the Soma Tropical Sea, it faces competition with the xeno filtershroom and the xeno fungustree. However, it has one advantage the xeno fungustree does not have, the fruity bluelily is not rooted to the ground and is able go around the sea. Despite this advantage, it has not driven the xeno filtershroom nor the xeno fungustree to extinction.
