Ancestor:Descendants:

The Flying Swarmer replaced the gliding swarmer. While the gliding swarmer was limited in it's tiny prey, the flying swarmer can go much higher to where there is a higher concentration of microbes. The Swarmers, water-breathers, now have to breath air. Their gills have changed, becoming smaller and in strips around the mouth, now just absorbing the oxygen that hits them as the swarmer flys rather than "siving" the gas out of water. Not true lungs, but enough to fit their lifestyle. The wings now have some good power behind them, and with a larger wingspan, they can be flapped and warped, which can be used for flying. Filter-Feeding is now a major part of the diet, but photosynthesis remains important, espicially now they are closer to the sun. The swarmers will fly down into the water to mate. While in the water they can't breath, so they mate quickly. Their skins are now tougher and don't need to be as wet to survive. They have managed to spread to the Jujubee Ocean while airborne, although they are rarer there.
