Reproduction Binary Fission

The ferrumcarcer evolved from protosagania. The ferrumcarcer's metabolism is unique, it use metals to get energy from food in the same way humans use oxygen. It absorbs so much iron that it has iron deposits within the cells. They polarize and make the entire cell like a magnet. This is what gives it its unique cell shape as well as sticks the cells together in a neat north to south links. The iron makes it heavy so the cells sink to the bottom. As they multiply the spread over the soil. They cannot move on their own and must be taken to new places via water currents on in dust on land. They too reproduce through binary fission.

Living Relatives (click to show/hide)

These are randomly selected, and organized from lowest to highest shared taxon. (This may correspond to similarity more than actual relation)

None found. Note that this does not necessarily mean it has no living relatives at all, but that, assuming all taxonomy is filled in, its entire phylum is extinct; any relatives it does have likely do not resemble it.
