Soon after splitting from the trisphorous boules, and moving into the ocean, a false flash cell failed to properly digest a flash cell. It has grown several more flagella and become much more light sensitive. The false flash cell hunts flash cells by increasing the pressure on the light cell that lives inside it thereby causing it to flash, this causes all nearby flash cells to also flash, giving away their location to the false flash cell.
