Ancestor:Descendants:

Diverging from its uksor ancestors, the exoskelesors have take to warmer climates and thrived, aided by the evolution of a complete chitinous exoskeleton that now encompasses and protects their bodies. Digging nests deep within the soil, they supplement these structures by herding and farming various species of vermees that are capable of producing secretions which can be utilized, alongside exoskelesor saliva and waste, to create a concrete-like material that can be used to build towers. Said towers protect the entranceways to the nests of these creatures, and can be up to several meters in height, depending of course on the size and health of the colony. Smaller ones and newly established ones tend to lack these structures, instead relying on natural formations for protection from burrowing insectivores.

Readily identifiable from the uksor by their previously mentioned exoskeleton, it is of note that there is the presence of an armor-less groove running along either side. In most of the castes, from warrior to worker to nurse, this plays no function, merely being a physical attribute of their exoskeleton. Only in the queen is their a function, for when she matures and becomes ripe with eggs, her womb, accompanied now by a newly evolved secondary one, push through these, creating the appearance that she is three sizes too small for her own exoskeleton. Because of this, she is practically immobile and defenseless against predators, thus she and the other queens in a nest are kept within the deepest pit, safe from harm and protected around the clock.

Other than this, the species has not changed that much from its ancestor.
