The droopgea split from its ancestor, the bitentagae. It is now much fatter, an because of its softness, it has a somewhat sagging appearance, although the trunk can not bend because it grew thicker, so it would not flop over. It gained some new tentacles on the side of the two main branching tentacles, which further increases its surface area, aiding in photosynthesis. It is one and a half times as large as its ancestor.
