The dredger replaced its ancestor the east mekoroach in western coasts of Wright. it is now an active hunter who will dig up creature who live under the sand. While it has grown to twice its ancestors size its prey can be as big as it is. It has developed thick armor on its back and and legs to protect it from the bits of its prey. Its huge beak now has sharp ridges on them to help slick open their exoskeletons. The jaw pressure alone can crack shells with ease. Their clawed feet help when digging in the sand. They can dig very fast to make sure they get their prey before it gets away.

It will also scavenge for food when it cannot dig up a meal. It has evolved four gill slits on its beak that not only help it breathe but can help it sniff out prey. It "tastes" the water and can tell where prey is hiding under the sand. Due to the gills they do not leave the water. Like their ancestors their eggs are formed on the back of the female and they hatched there. Their coloring is now rusty-red to help them blend in with the rocks when the they go to sleep and hiding from larger predators.
