The drake cloudswarmer has split from its ancestor, the cloud swarmer, and has moved out of the atmosphere to Drake. They learned to survive by filter-feeding cryodome hydroutine from the waters of cryobowls, and eventually evolved with the cryobowl into a symbiotic relationship. The drake cloudswarmer now eats the fruit provided by the fruiting cryobowl, eating the soft, fleshy outside and regurgitating the actual seed, helping to spread the cryobowl. They live solitary lifestyles, mating by releasing genetic material into the "bowls" of the fruiting cryobowl. As larva, they eat the cryodome hydroutine found in abundance inside the bowls of the fruiting cryobowls. To help keep their body aloft, they have thin flaps of skin that stick out and help them glide.
