Ancestor:Descendants:

The degenerate miniswarmer has split from its ancestor and spread throughout Sagan IV's oceans. They have lost the ability to see and their mouths are now covered by a thin layer of skin as a further degeneration of their ancestor's traits. Their tentacle-like tails have fused together into a singular body part which is rotated to provide movement. They rely on chemical signals in order to find and aggregate around pioneer colonialballs. These regions serve as breeding grounds for them, and they are able to tolerate the lower light conditions.
