Ancestor:Descendants:

The decacrocus has split from its ancestor and become a union of two cells. While it still photosynthesizes, it also absorbs minute amounts of silicon naturally found in its surroundings and uses it to strengthen cellular membrane into a form of cell wall. It tends to congregate close to the shallows and reproduces by destroying the bond between the two cells, causing both to float away from one another, after which a new cell will grow out of both of them.
