River Swarmer |
Because of the lesser predators in the area, the river swarmers didn't need so much camouflage. Instead of a lot of pink stripes, their stripes have faded away until only a few remained, and they now have dark spots on their backs, mimicking the plants from above. They have evolved baleen to be able to filter-feed more efficiently, while the deterioration of their pink stripes and going to shallower water has made them better autotrophs. Their eye has split in two so they can see more clearly through the plants and the murky water of the swamp, while their fins transformed into a sleeker design as to experience less trouble when plowing through the thicker waters of the swamp. Eventually, they replaced their ancestor in the Nuke Swamp.
