Giant Shovelhead |
The dark giant shovelhead evolved from the slow and lazy giant shovelhead, and like its ancestor it is huge; due to the large amount of microscopic organisms in the waters the dark giant shovelhead can afford to grow to an enormous size which protects them from the predators of the deep. Unlike its ancestors however, the dark giant shovelhead is now a full time filter-feeder, giving it more energy, rather than waiting for the sun to shine. The middle tail has also evolved to a larger paddle-like fin, using the two side tails to steer, allowing it to move much faster.
As the dark giant shovelhead is no longer slow and lazy they breed faster; still with the same filter-feeding babies as offspring, and still with both the parents staying with the babies for the first ten months.
