The crowned kingrush is a descendant of the pioneeroots that has managed to thrive on Vivus Island. Similarly to the smaller phalangrass that it grows alongside, it forms vast grasslands that both stabilize the soil and draw up nutrients from deep down. Easily recognized by both its height and the fleshy projections that grow from the tips of its blades, they form thick clusters wherever they grow. At the very top of these flora are several spore towers, from which countless spores are expelled into the wind to discolor the sky.
