The crevice tuff split from it's ancestor, the marine tuffdra, after some seeds managed to grow in small crevices on the ocean floor. It's bulbs have grown to face inward, due to the cramped spaces it may find itself in, and the base has been forced into being much wider than that of it's ancestor, mostly for gaining better grip on the rocky surfaces of underwater crevasses. It now inhabits only saltwater marine environments, most seeds that manage to find their way to the shore will shrivel up within 20 minutes of placement. The oceanic ditches that it inhabits are usually small, which has led to a slight decrease in height.
