The crater gemshrub split from its ancestor and spread to the Razo Volcanic. There in the snow covered areas it behaves quite the same keeping a length of about 25 cm tall and can only be told different by its more oval shape and unique stalk structure. Its spores are still very resistant to cold and it still has an anti-freeze chemical in it that helps it survive for months and even years under the snow cover. Still its main adaptations only show up when its spores land in an active volcanic area. Mainly near volcanic craters where it is shadowed and protected from the snow storms and blizzards it can grow up to 40 cm tall ad populate the whole area of the crater.
