The coverplern worm has split from its ancestor. They have specialized in feeding on cover plern leaves and have replaced their ancestor in the high canopy. Their camouflage has also evolved. During the day they imitate a small cover plern leaflet by lifting their front into the air and holding their wings out. With its eyes facing upwards it is always watching for danger. Then at night the worms will feed.
