The clusterspades replaced its ancestor, spreading throughout the tropics of Barlowe. Its mature leaves now have a wider tip to better capture sunlight. Its immature leaves have redeveloped sharp spines in response to pressure from herbivores. Other than these changes, it is the same as its ancestor.
