The clinging droopgea split from its ancestor, and invaded Martyk Sandstone Sea Caves. This variety of droopgea grows on every surface where the light reaches, mostly the entrance, sometimes choking out others in favor for itself. It is smaller than its ancestor, and the bottom tentacles have fused to become single ones. The top "cap" of tentacles has shrunk in both actual and proportional size. In adulthood, the cells along the very bottom secrete a kind of glue that holds it down. This makes it difficult for it to be eaten completely, and as such it can regrow completely after being eaten. As a bud, thigmotropisms allow it to know what is "bottom", and that is where it secretes its glue. It then grows normally.
