The clawtrunk evolved from the gigaphant. It has replaced it in the Wright Rainforest. It eats only the bark of the huge crystal solar tower. Its neck and front legs have grown longer so it can reach up higher to uneaten areas of bark. Their trunks have developed a claw on the end to scrape off the bark, while the bottom jaw catches the falling bark. They stay in small herds when browsing.
