The chumsnapper split from its ancestor and moved to the Chum water ways. There they found plentiful food and protection of their eggs from predators. Their eggs have become leathery in order to protect them from the excess salt on the shore. They are now completely carnivorous as adults, but the young are known to feed on violetglobe. They are slightly smaller than their ancestors, but they are extremely vicious to any creature in their territory other than potential mates. They are only vulnerable in the early morning when they are sunning themselves and lack the energy to defend themselves.
