The chlorocubis replaced its ancestor the chlorocytus in Hydro River, Hydro Swamp, Ovi River and Ovi Swamp. It has grown a second pair of flagellum, which help it float in place in the water. To protect it from cyotovores it has developed a thick cellulose cell wall. Like its ancestor it has an eyespot to help direct it towards sunlight. It has also doubled the amount of chloroplasts its ancestor had.
Living Relatives (click to show/hide)
These are randomly selected, and organized from lowest to highest shared taxon. (This may correspond to similarity more than actual relation)
None found. Note that this does not necessarily mean it has no living relatives at all, but that, assuming all taxonomy is filled in, its entire phylum is extinct; any relatives it does have likely do not resemble it.
