Ancestor:Descendants:

The chamber stalk split from its ancestor and changed dramatically. Some spores the orange spore stalk released ended up on the spore chambers of other black flora. Some of these spore eventually managed to grow and become a new plant, growing on the chamber itself using the host plant's water system and moisture in order to survive. Because they are closely related to their hosts these eventually started to create plant hormones that helped them control the host, making it release more waters into the chamber, enlarging its root and vascular system, and generally making it a living water pipe. This method of reproduction and the wide spread of black flora in post gamma ray Glicker helped them become common in many different biomes. Because a plant that is infested by the chamber stalk can't reproduce itself this started to become a problem to many of the black flora. The only type that could reproduce even after they became infested were flora with more than one chamber like the doublestalk. Also black flora that reproduce using puffs aren't targets as well as it can not grow on them. They have very large chambers and produce lots of spores for only those that land on other chambers can survive. Their clouds can still suffocate small animals.
